Dr. Lea T. Guitard, D.V.M.

We are pleased and excited to announce Dr. Lea T. Guitard, D.V.M. has joined Spirit Winds Stables.

Dr. Guitard’s professional equine veterinary practise was established in June 1995, and the practise provides both eastern and western equine veterinary medicine services for Thoroughbred race horses, and Grand Prix horses in every discipline.

She holds a FEI credential as a permitted treating Veterinarian and is licenced in Florida and Kentucky, USA and Ontario, Canada.

Dr. Guitard has been involved in extensive international and domestic retainers with the top tier global Thoroughbred race horse trainers through her practise at Woodbine Race Track in Toronto, Ontario, one of the premier Thoroughbred race tracks in North America, as well as Canadian Grand Prix show horses in Canada.

As well, she has extensive international and domestic retainers in the Grand Prix world, working with professional, Olympic and non-Olympic trainers, teams, riders and their equine partners in every discipline in Canada, Europe, the Middle East and the United States.

Dr. Guitard was awarded her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada in June 1995 and her license to practise Veterinary Medicine in June, 1995 through the Ontario Veterinary College. She further matriculated with certificates and diplomas with the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association, the Veterinary Botanical Medical Association, The Canadian Association of Veterinary Acupuncturists and Matrix Repatterning.
